PHASE 1  EVANGELISM

SESSION 5

Lessons five and six of the Basic Bible Truths series pave the way for later discipleship training.  They are your link, your bridge, to future studies and the future growth of the new disciple.  In these lessons, you lay groundwork and establish foundational material for future work.

Many who take the Basic Bible Truths lessons profess Christ as personal Savior in lesson four.  Even if your candidate was not saved in lesson four, go ahead and teach him lessons five and six.  As you do, you have two more opportunities to lead him to Christ.  Make sure, as you proceed, that your candidate, who has not yet been saved, realizes that what you present in lessons five and six does not apply to him in view of his lost condition.  Show him that the aspects of lessons five and six apply only to saved people and keep encouraging him to trust Christ.

If your candidate does trust Christ in lesson four, let him realize that what you present in lessons five and six is really a broad overview introduction to what you will present in far greater detail in the next few months.

Lessons five and six are transitional, the time when you begin preparing your disciple for the move into the second level of discipleship training, that of Initial Growth.

In your fifth session, teach your candidate lesson five of the Basic Bible Truths.  It is titled, "Walking Daily With The Lord."
