Dear Parent(s),
Thank you for allowing you child to participate in the Awana
Clubs here at Berean Baptist Church. The
Awana Clubs meet here every Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Our goal here at Berean is to make the Awana Clubs the
highlight of your child’s week. Each
Wednesday night the Awana Clubs allows the children to enjoy a great time of
exciting games, opportunity to make new friends and learn about God and his word
in the Bible. These will all take
place in a Christian atmosphere, where certified adult supervision will be at
all times.
If this is your child’s first time at Awana or will be
beginning a new club this year, please note that your children will have a take
home entrance test. All the
children participating in Awana must past this simple test to join their
respective club. Upon completion of
this test your child will become an “Official Member” of the Awana Club.
We encourage you, as parents, to spend some time with your child going
over the test to insure a quick completion.
Upon completion of the test your child will be able to purchase their
uniform and handbook. Prices are posted in the AWANA Office. Please note that all
“clubbers” should wear their uniform to each club meeting.
Children should also wear play clothes and tennis shoes.
The children are allowed to wear shorts, as long as the bottom touches
the knee. However due to the games
played in the gym, we encourage long pants or jeans to help reduce “rug
burn” and scrapes.
Please do not drop off your child before 6:45 p.m. and please
pick them up promptly at 8:30 p.m. Please
refer to the Pick-up and Drop-off Map.
All students except Cubbies (pre-K) are to be dropped off at the gym
(building 1). Cubbies are to be
dropped off at the back educational building (2).
Please do not block the drive ways by parking in them.
Cubbies (pre-k),Truth & Training (3rd-6th), and
Sparks (K-2nd) will be picked up in the Fellowship Hall down
stairs in the educational building(2). JV
(7th-8th.) will be picked up at the gym (building 1).
We are looking forward to another fantastic year of
Awana Clubs and the chance to work with your child to draw both them and you
closer to each other and to the Lord. If
